# atmos plugin info

Inspect a selected plugin’s source, digests, exports, and local path.

> ⚠️ Experimental

## Usage

```shell
atmos plugin info <alias> [--format table|json|yaml|csv|tsv]
```

## Arguments and flags

- **alias**
  Local package alias.
- **--format**
  Output format: table (default), json, yaml, csv, or tsv. Set
  ATMOS_PLUGIN_FORMAT
   to change the default; an explicit flag takes precedence.

Interactive table output summarizes the plugin using the shared Atmos list styling. When piped, table output becomes plain tab-separated rows. JSON and YAML retain the complete record, including release and manifest details.

The interactive status includes the same themed indicator as `plugin list`, with a green dot for installed plugins and a readable status word.

For a package that runs from `plugins.packages.<alias>.path`, the status is `path`. The output shows the resolved directory, an origin line explaining that the lock, signature, and version checks are bypassed, and the name and version read from the local `plugin.yaml`. The declared release and lock details are still shown beside it, because they apply again when the profile that sets `path` is not active. See the [plugin development tutorial](/tutorials/plugin-development).

## Examples
